Brisbane is known for its colourful restaurant, bar, and local cultural scene. Here you'll find the Queensland Cultural Centre and the Gallery of Modern Art to witness stunning masterpieces. The Brisbane Riverwalk is also home to some of the best views of Brisbane's skyline. If you're up for a scenic walk, jog, or even some cycling, this is floating walkway is your best bet.

Adventure seekers will have their fill here, with Jet Ski rides, sea walking, white water river rafting, fly boarding and more. Once done, you can head inland to dine with your fellow travelers or the locals at some choice shops.

The motor-vehicle-free Gili Islands (Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno), off Lombok's west coast, offer more beaches, reefs for diving and snorkeling, and a sea turtle hatchery.
