Description

Marina blends sophistication with a contemporary flair to create a casually elegant ambiance. From the sparkling Lalique Grand Staircase to the stunning Owner's Suites furnished in Ralph Lauren Home, designer touches are everywhere, highlighting the finest residential design and furnishings. More than anything, Marina personifies the Oceania Cruises experience.

Comfortably mid-size, Marina retains the same warmth and charm of her acclaimed consorts Regatta, Insignia, Nautica and Sirena. While the country club casual ambiance and level of personalized service remain the same, Marina offers even more choice and some enticing new amenities. Designed for epicureans and travel connoisseurs, Marina offers guests multiple dining venues, of which six are open-seating gourmet restaurants with no surcharge. La Reserve by Wine Spectator offers enlightening seminars, tastings, and gourmet food pairings. The Culinary Center is the only hands-on cooking school at sea, featuring a range of enriching cooking classes by master chefs. Similarly, talented artists-in-residence offer step-by-step instruction in arts and crafts in Artist Loft enrichment center. Baristas, our signature coffee bar, serves up illy® espresso and coffee and freshly made pastries. Intimate lounges abound. Accommodations in every category are incredibly spacious, especially with regard to the lavish bathrooms.

Yet remarkably, with so many additions, the onboard ambiance and experience remains comfortably familiar. We have retained everything our guests adore about our ships and raised the bar even higher. We look forward to welcoming you aboard.

Day 1
Buenos Aires

Catch the opera at the acoustically magnificent Teatro Colón. Weekends in nearby Placa Francia are home to local artists' markets. Across town in colorful Boca (the birthplace of tango), head to the Caminito for Argentine art and crafts. No vacation in Buenos Aires would be complete without an evening at Señor Tango - an evening tango show complete with an Argentine steak dinner and tango performances. Spend the day shopping on the pedestrian street, Calle Florida, or enjoying the architecture as you walk along Avenida del Libertador to reach the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes.

Montevideo

Montevideo, a port city and the capital of Uruguay, is a perfect destination for travelers looking for a relaxing stroll past colonial era buildings and along beautiful beaches. The Ciudadela Gateway, the only remaining section of the wall that once surrounded the entire city, now serves as the entrance to Ciudad Vieja, Montevideos oldest neighborhood. Home to churches, museums, and theaters, at night the area comes alive with nightclubs playing Tango and Candombe music for crowds of dancers

Punta del Este

Santos

Although its also the location of the Latin Americas largest seaport, Santos isnt just a boring port town. The city of 420,000, just 75 kilometers from São Paulo, features a seven-kilometer stretch of beach divided into just as many social cliques as youd find on Ipanema. A verdant promenade separates the beach from the seafront condos and hotels, along which families and friends walk, amble, bike, skate, rollerblade, throw frisbees, you name it. Less sandy points of interest include the Museu do Café Brasileiro (Brazilian Coffee Museum), the Aquário Municipal (City Aquarium), the Orquidário Municipal (City Orchid Garden) and the Neo-Gothic Santos Cathedral.

Arrival : 8:00 AM
Day 9
Parati

Named for a local swamp fish, Paraty sits on Brazils southeastern coast, 125 miles south of Rio, with the Bocaino Mountains at its back. The small colonial towns center is a national historic monument with well-preserved buildings on its pedestrian-only streets. Take a boat trip out into the bay to the flotillas of islands and coves nearby. Explore sugarcane plantations and hike or take a train through Atlantica Forest. Keep an eye out for the monkeys that roam the cobblestone streets

Arrival : 8:00 AM
Day 10
Ilha Grande

So close to Rio de Janeiro, yet so different, Ilha Grande is Brazil's relaxing, undeveloped paradise. Stepping off the ferry to the island is to disconnect from the outside world. No cars, no banks (bring your money!), no ringing phones. It's all about relaxing in the sun, sailing, swimming, disappearing into spas and reemerging for fresh seafood at one of the 30 small restaurants

Arrival : 8:00 AM
Day 11
Buzios

If there's a "beach economy," Buzios is its Wall Street. Its more than 20 beaches, world-class galleries, clubs and boutiques draw an elite set of travelers. Surfers love Geriba Beach, snorkelers enjoy Ferruda, hip Ossos Beach offers upscale beachside cafes and laid-back Ilhabela Beach offers a more down-to-earth Buzios experience
