Indulgence of Eastern Canada Tour Itinerary

Explore stunning Eastern Canada on this 8-day guided tour. See Niagara Falls, one of the world’s most breathtaking natural wonders, as you cruise the iconic waters on a narrated boat tour. Later, explore the idyllic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake before indulging in a sparkling wine at Chateau des Charmes. Visit the most iconic sites of Ottawa, including its Parliament buildings and Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site — then feast on locally farmed and foraged foods for dinner at the renowned restaurant Play, Food & Wine. In Quebec City, stay at the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, which overlooks the St. Lawrence River; a Local Expert will guide you through its corridors on a tour that take you into typically off-limits areas and unveils the mansion's unique history.

Day 1: Welcome to Toronto
Welcome to Canada. On arrival at Toronto Pearson International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your luxury hotel, known for its grand architecture and glamorous atmosphere. This evening, enjoy a special Sabrage ceremony, a ritual that that dates back to the battles of Napoleon. At 18:00, join your Traveling Concierge and fellow travelers for a Welcome Dinner at Hothouse, a vibrant and upbeat eatery with a varied menu and extensive collection of wine.

Day 2: Niagara Falls Up Close and Toronto Sightseeing
Discover one of the world's great natural wonders, Niagara Falls. Choose to enjoy the views of Niagara Falls onboard a narrated cruise. Alternatively, experience Journey Behind the Falls, which offers a unique view of the falls from below and behind after you descend 150 feet (46 meters) by elevator to two observation decks.

Visit Chateau des Charmes, and take a private tour of this family-owned winery with a master vintner. Taste exquisite wines from St. David's Bench Vineyard including a limited production sparkling ice wine, and a Vidal Icewine - a rare wine made only in a few select places in the world. Back in Toronto, see Ontario's Parliament buildings, Queen's Park and the Royal Ontario Museum. Day 3: Kingston and the Canadian Capital of Ottawa
Enjoy a brief orientation tour of the historic city of Kingston, boasting a variety of fascinating historical landmarks and picturesque views of Lake Ontario. Continue to the modern capital of Ottawa. Arrive at your landmark hotel, the Fairmont Château Laurier.

Day 4: All About Ottawa
This morning's orientation tour of Ottawa includes some of the city's most iconic buildings, such as Parliament Hill, Notre Dame, and Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Choose between a bike tour of the city, or a guided tour of the Canadian Museum of History, one of Canada’s oldest public institutions and a respected center of expertise in history, archaeology, ethnology and cultural studies. The rest of the day is yours at leisure. In the evening, you are invited to a farm-to-table Highlight Dinner at Play, Food & Wine. Famous for its fine fresh food, sourced by local farmers and foragers, this restaurant boasts a menu of seasonal favorites including organic meats, fruits and vegetables.

Day 5: The Old Walled City of Quebec
Journey along the St. Lawrence River to Quebec City to discover the beautiful Joan of Arc Gardens, the Quebec Parliament, Place Royale and Old Town. Embark on an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac and savor a spectacular dinner at one Quebec City's renowned restaurants.

Day 6: Quintessential Quebec
Dive further into Quebec City's history with a Local Expert. See the Citadel of Quebec, Latin Quarter, Plains of Abraham, National Assembly and Place-Royale, as you explore this city's French-Canadian influence. Visit a secret gem on the Île d'Orléans where you will be met by your hosts, the charming couple, Catherine and Vincent – two “Sorcerers,” as the natives of Île d’Orleans call themselves, and sample the different flavors of jam made with locally grown berries. As you enter, you will be immediately welcomed by the sweet smell of cooked berries as you explore their shop which, captures the ambience of the island from a hundred years ago. Day 7: Historic Montreal

Discover Saint-Laurent Boulevard, which has been transformed into the country's premier street art corridor. Visit the dramatic Notre-Dame Basilica to see its glorious stained-glass windows. The rest of the afternoon is free. Perhaps explore Montreal's famous Underground City or visit the famous Marche Jean Talon, Montreal's farmers market. Spend the evening at Vieux-Port Steakhouse in Montreal. Savor French-inspired cuisine as you bid 'au revoir' to your Traveling Concierge and new friends.
