Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival into Tokyo

You will arrive at International Airport and  and be greeted by your driver who will transfer you to your hotel in the city center. The transfer will be smooth and comfortable, and your driver will help you with your luggage.

Please note: Hotel check-in at 2pm

Once you arrive at the hotel, you will have some time to settle in and freshen up. Later in the evening, you will meet other travelers who are on the same trip as you in the hotel lobby. You will be introduced to our tour guide, who will brief you on the itinerary for the next three days.

After the briefing, you will head out for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant nearby. This will be a great opportunity to get to know your fellow travelers and your tour guide, and to try some delicious local cuisine.

Overnight in Tokyo.

Day 2: Exploring Tokyo’s Heritage Sites

Today will be a fascinating and educational exploration of the history and culture of Tokyo, with visits to important landmarks and museums, and the opportunity to try some delicious local cuisine.

We will start the day with a visit to the Imperial Palace East Garden, a beautiful and peaceful oasis located in the heart of the city. The garden was once the site of Edo Castle, the residence of the shogun during the Edo period. Today, the garden is open to the public and features beautiful gardens and historic ruins, including the remains of the castle's foundations and walls. You will have the opportunity to stroll through the gardens and learn about the history of the site.

Next, we will visit the Meiji Jingu Shrine, a Shinto shrine dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. The shrine was built in 1920 to commemorate the Emperor's role in the modernization of Japan. The shrine is surrounded by a beautiful forest and features a large torii gate and beautiful buildings with intricate carvings and decorations. You will learn about the history and traditions of Shintoism, Japan's native religion, and have the opportunity to participate in a traditional Shinto ritual.

Afterwards, we will explore the Edo-Tokyo Museum, which showcases the history and culture of Tokyo during the Edo period (1603-1868). The museum features exhibits on art, architecture, fashion, and daily life during this fascinating period of Japanese history. You will have the opportunity to see recreations of Edo-era buildings and artifacts, and learn about the customs and traditions of the time.

Next, we will visit the Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, one of the oldest and most popular temples in Tokyo. The temple was founded in the 7th century and is dedicated to the bodhisattva Kannon. The temple features a large gate, a five-story pagoda, and a main hall with beautiful decorations and offerings. You will have the opportunity to learn about Buddhist traditions and customs, and to explore the bustling Nakamise shopping street, which features many traditional Japanese souvenirs and snacks.

You will enjoy a traditional Japanese lunch at a local restaurant, where you will have the opportunity to try some of the local delicacies such as sushi, tempura, or udon noodles

We will return to your hotel 5pm. Overnight in Tokyo.

Day 3: Day Trip to Kamakura

You will be a memorable and inspiring exploration of Kamakura's rich cultural heritage, with visits to important landmarks and temples, and the opportunity to reflect on the experiences of your trip over a delicious lunch.

After breakfast  we will take a day trip to Kamakura, a historic city located south of Tokyo. Kamakura was once the political center of Japan during the Kamakura period (1185-1333) and is known for its numerous temples and shrines.

Our first stop in Kamakura will be the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, a prominent Shinto shrine that was founded in 1063. The shrine features a large torii gate, a bridge over a pond, and beautiful buildings with intricate carvings and decorations. You will learn about the history and traditions of Shintoism, and have the opportunity to participate in a traditional Shinto ritual.

Next, we will see the Great Buddha of Kamakura, a bronze statue of Amida Buddha that dates back to the 13th century. The statue is over 40 feet tall and is considered one of the most iconic landmarks in Japan. You will have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area and learn about the history and significance of the statue.

Afterwards, we will visit the Hase-dera Temple, known for its stunning views of the surrounding area and its statue of Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy. The temple was founded in the 8th century and features beautiful gardens, a five-story pagoda, and a main hall with intricate decorations and offerings. You will have the opportunity to learn about Buddhist traditions and customs, and to explore the surrounding area.

We will return to Tokyo around 5pm. Overnight in Tokyo.

Day 4: Port Transfer to Cruise

You will check out of your hotel and your driver  will transfer you to the Tokyo port to embark on your cruise. The transfer will be smooth and comfortable, and your driver  will help you with your luggage.
