Day 1: Arrive in Christchurch
Today you will make your own way to your stunning accommodation for an overnight stay. The rest of the afternoon and evening is at your leisure.
Day 2: TranzAlpine to Greymouth
Embark on the world-famous TranzAlpine Train as you traverse the Southern Alps and wind along the walls of the Waimakariri River Valley. Upon arrival in Greymouth, collect your hire car and make your way to Franz Josef, the gateway to the incredible Franz Josef Glacier.
Day 3: Franz Josef
Enjoy today at leisure. For the best glacier experience, Franz Josef Glacier Heli Hike offers the ultimate experience (weather permitting).
Day 4: Franz Josef to Queenstown
depart Glacier Country and head south towards Queenstown. Along the way, you will be spoiled with scenery as you travel through Haast, Makaroa, Lake Hawea and into Queenstown.
Day 5: Queenstown
Experience skiing in Queenstown thanks to your NZ Superpass. Redeem it for a Full Day Mountain Lift Pass at either Coronet Peak or The Remarkables. You may wish to redeem your NZ Superpass for an afternoon activity or credit towards a dining experience.
Day 6: Queenstown to Mt Cook
Depart Queenstown and take a detour to Wanaka for a lakeside stroll past the famous Wanaka Tree. This afternoon you will arrive into Mt Cook for a special two night stay.
Day 7: Mt Cook
Enjoy today and explore New Zealand’s tallest mountain with an array of optional activities.
Day 8: Mt Cook to Methven
Continue your journey north as you arrive in Methven, home to Mt Hutt Ski Area.
Day 9: Methven
Make use of your NZ Superpass and visit Mt Hutt, winner of the ‘Best NZ Ski Resort’ award 8 years running.
Day 10: Methven to Christchurch
Enjoy the morning at leisure before commencing your drive to Christchurch.
Day 11: Christchurch
Climb aboard the Christchurch Tram for a unique experience combining history and sightseeing before unwinding on the Avon River for an informative punt ride as you glide by the picturesque Botanic Gardens.
Day 12: Depart Christchurch
Your winter holiday has come to an end as you return your car hire to Christchurch Airport.
