while it’s true that Greenland is both huge and mostly icy, there are actually places on the southernmost tip that are just perfect for cruising. When you show up in the summer, remember that it’s always jacket weather here — we are still in the Arctic Circle, barely! — but small port towns welcome visitors warmly to experience all the history and culture of their native people. And while you’re in the neighborhood, you’ll also have a chance to check out some of eastern Canada’s most scenic seaside towns in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia — yep, visit two cool countries on one cruise!

Itinerary highlights

Baltimore

Set sail from the Charm City’s historic harbor on Carnival cruises from Baltimore, Maryland. Many of Baltimore’s vibrant neighborhoods and most important sights — including the original Star-Spangled Banner waving over Fort McHenry — can be found near the lively seaport, making it a snap to get a taste of the city. A collection of museums, markets, and maritime activities — like a thriving centuries-old marketplace — will start your Carnival cruise from Baltimore in style.

Nanortalik

Someplace has to hold the title of Greenland’s southernmost town… and it just happens to be Nanortalik. This means that, at least by Greenland standards, the climate is pretty mild.

Qaqortoq

You'll find about 8% of the entire world's ice in Greenland, but surprisingly, not all of the country resembles the large ice cube you might be expecting.

St. Anthony, NL

Here’s a Newfoundland travel tip: DO visit St. Anthony, but DON’T miss the whale-watching. Got all that? After all, there’s a reason these incredible creatures are among the top draws to this town, which you’ll find situated at the tip of the Great Northern Peninsula.

Corner Brook, NL

Those mountains you’ll see making up the backdrop of Corner Brook, Newfoundland? That’s actually the Appalachian… yep, an extension of the ones you’ll find down in the US! It was the famous Captain James Cook who helped put this beautiful region of Canada on the map in the 18th century, though hundreds of years later this fishing village also became notable as one of the largest paper processing mills anywhere in the world.

Sydney, NS

Australia’s famous city isn’t the only Sydney worth cruising to! While exploring Canada & New England on a Carnival cruise, you can dig deeper into a pocket of Canadian history, a city that was actually founded in the late 18th century by loyalist British soldiers retreating from the American Revolution.

Your Ship: Carnival Pride

Carnival Pride invites you to dine refined, from the zen-like simplicity of Bonsai Sushi to the art deco ocean liner inspiration of the Normandie Restaurant, not to mention the Renaissance-era allure of David's Steakhouse. And of course there's real, delectable substance under all that style. But for something a little more casual, loosen your tie... or maybe just throw it away and grab a main course (and fries) from our main man Guy Fieri, at Guy's Burger Joint. The Mexican heat's optional at BlueIguana Cantina, but make your next stop Cherry on Top — our candy-and-more store — where everything's sweet.

You'll find yourself with room to move at the Beauties Dance Club, and a hard time sitting still at Playlist Productions. All around this cruise ship you'll discover even more ways to stay cool, like an adult-only pool at Serenity, a fun-only midship pool featuring a retractable roof, plus Carnival Pride's splashy onboard waterpark, Carnival WaterWorks.

Alongside the pool is the big-screen, big-fun Carnival Seaside Theater, while Seuss at Sea is a good time for kids who love a good rhyme too. (Like we do!) Camp Ocean, Circle "C" and Club O2 prove that we've got spots for cool kids of all ages... while every cruise features a chance for anyone to bring their hottest moves to Lip Sync Battle: Carnival, the fierce live show that kindly requests you show us what you've got, up on stage.
