Sydney

Australia's most illustrious city is the country's capital in everything but name. It possesses one of the most beautiful harbour settings in the world, and emanates with a intermingling of history, ruggedness and sophistication.

Townsville

It's summer all year round in the city of Townsville, with a thriving nightlife scene that you can't just miss. Australia's tropical island paradise feel is on full display here, with the beaches of Magnetic Island just one ferry trip away.

Cairns

While it is usually a jump-off port for the Great Barrier Reef, Cairns can also become a destination for destination for trekking, discovering secret islands along the reef, exploring the Daintree Rainforest and even gliding through the rainforest canopy. Cairns also is home to the Esplanade, which is a swimming lagoon where you can freely bask under the sun as you enjoy the panoramic views of the Trinity Inlet.

Cruising Torres Strait

The Torres Strait is a strait which lies between Australia and the Melanesian island of New Guinea. It is approximately 150 km wide at its narrowest extent. To the south is Cape York Peninsula, the northernmost extremity of the Australian mainland. To the north is the Western Province of Papua New Guinea.

Darwin

Darwin is Australia's link between South East Asia that also features tours to Kakadu National Park, Litchfield National Park, and Katherine Gorge, which are literally hours away. You can also go fishing for some exotic barramundi.

Komodo Island

Steep hillsides and real dragons make you feel like you're in an exotic adventure, as the Komodo Islands welcome you to several opportunities to explore. Pink sand beaches, manta points for diving, the Komodo Island National Park for live komodo dragon viewing, access and trails to hidden waterfalls, and enjoy unique Indonesian cuisine.

Bali (Benoa)

From parasailing to fine dining, bar hopping and scuba diving, there's a wealth of activities to do when you touchdown at Bali. Adventure seekers will have their fill here, with Jet Ski rides, sea walking, white water river rafting, fly boarding and more. Once done, you can head inland to dine with your fellow travelers or the locals at some choice shops.

Singapore

This small, roughly diamond-shaped island at the end of peninsular Malaysia may be coated in modernity, but underneath lies conservative Confucian values. Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian influences make Singapore a highly tolerant city with a wealth of fascinatingly sundry cultures.

Phu My

Vietnam's first privately-owned deep water port, occupied by the Japanese during World War II, now serves primarily as a portal to Ho Chi Minh City?the "Pearl of the Orient". Nearby, the Cu Chi tunnels offer grim reminders of the Vietnam War.

Nha Trang

The easy-going city of Nha Trang is known for its six-mile palm-lined sandy beach with clear turquoise water. Spend some time relaxing by the bay at Nha Trang Beach or the more secluded but arguably even more beautiful Bai Duong Beach, shaded by lushly forested mountains.

Hong Kong

The "Wall Street of Asia" is one of the world's truly great cities. Reunited with China in 1997, it is a fast-paced, scintillating city brimming with Chinese medicine shops, British pubs, dazzling high rises, wooden boats, ancient villages, fish eateries and rugby lawns.

Kaohsiung Taiwan

A modern city in the south of Taiwan, Kaohsiung shifts from ancient to contemporary culture with ease. Dont miss the breathtaking Fo Guang Shan monastery and its hall of giant Buddhas. Dream Mall, the largest shopping mall in Taiwan, has a Ferris wheel on the roof. Drive to Kenting National Park for beautiful landscapes.

Keelung (Taipei)

Nagasaki

The A-bomb Hypocentre (the exact point where the atomic bomb hit in 1945) brings most people to this pleasant, easy-going city. As a crossroads of cultures, it is imprinted with Chinese temples, Catholic churches and European-style houses, and imported cuisines and festivals flourish.

Tokyo

Tradition collides with pop culture in Tokyo, where you can reverently wander ancient temples before rocking out at a karaoke bar. Spend some time in the beautiful East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, then brush up on your Japanese history at the Edo-Tokyo Museum. Don't forget to eat as much sushi, udon noodles, and wagashi (Japanese sweets) as your belly can handle.
